| Situation: |
The customer was filling a drum with a waste material from the pharmaceutical process, this drum was sealed and shipped to a secure landfill site and then deep buried because of the contamination risk. |

| Requirement: |
The customer required a machine that would compress this material so they could get as much waste in the drums as possible to reduce disposal costs. |
| Solution: |
We were able to design the machine to the customers specifications on our 3D CAD system. This allowed us to eliminate potential problems on the workshop floor, by simulating the compression process with the software. The machine was manufactured and in a special workshop cell to eliminate any cross-contamination from the mild-steel to the stainless steel, the whole project took just under 8 weeks from product concept to completion. |
