Each year, the UK fire and rescue services attend around 300 significant fires at waste sites. These fires cause huge environmental and financial damage not to mention the potential loss of life. Recently, several European manufacturers along with earthmoving company, Oosterveld, based in the Netherlands, collaborated to develop a unique waste compaction solution to help prevent these fires igniting.
We were one of the sponsors and attendees at this year’s “virtual” MRF & Markets Conference organised by letsrecycle.com. They hosted an interesting and informative group of speakers and we certainly learnt a lot from them.
We often show photographs of our finished products and projects. Today we would like to highlight the fantastic installation work, from our After Sales service team, who bring it to that final stage.
Many of our projects can be complex, requiring integration into existing facilities or connection with other equipment. Here at CK International, we are very lucky to have an expert team of 16 field engineers strategically placed around the UK and Ireland who handle set-up, installation, training, commissioning, repair and maintenance.
A fully integrated baling solution has helped Newry-based Re-Gen Waste reduce their ship loading times by up to 5 hours.
The twin ram automatic baler, supplied by CK International, produces larger and more consistent SRF (Solid Recovered Fuel) bales. This results in much faster loading times due to fewer bales stacked in the containers.
CK International are always listening to customer feedback. This can sometimes lead to additional new features or modifications to machines.
Recently a customer approached us, requesting a new baler for silage wrap and other material streams.
Manual handling of cardboard in retail is not only tough going, but it is costly with little or no rebate. Finding the right recycling solution will save on manual labour and increase efficiency. We have recently helped a leading Irish retailer with a custom-engineered solution to suit.
A fully automated baler just wasn’t good enough for us here at CK International! We have now taken this one step further and transformed it into a mobile machine! This mobile twin ram baler is the first of its kind in the UK. It is ideal for projects where it needs to move across various sites with minimal set-up time.
This month saw the first two CK425HFEPCs leaving CK International. This semi-automatic baler was designed and built based on features requested by a customer. It's not uncommon for us to add/remove features or develop products based on customer's suggestions and feedback. Due to quite a bit of interest we have now decided to add it to our existing semi-automatic baler range.
